Demand for Shekhawati University

Prof. Ranjana Purohit of Shri R. K. PG. College, Bisau, has again raised her voice demanding immediate establishment of a university to be named after Shekhawati.
She has demanded that the proposed university must have full-fledged facilities. it must not look like The Bikaner University which is still being run out a few rooms.
'If the Government repeats the same mistakes, it will cause a great injustice to the blooming young talents of the historically great area,' she added.

Mustn't be a political issue

The former student representative, Amit Kumar Pareek, too, has demanded that issue be taken in all the sincerity that it deserves. It mustn't be taken as an election-time gimmick to mislead people and the students of the area.

Churu: 10 pilgrims injured on way to Tarapith

Dumka (Jharkhand) (PTI): At least ten pilgrims to Tarapith Kali temple were injured, three of them seriously, when the bus in which they were travelling overturned in Massangore area of Dumka district on Monday.
They were proceeding to the temple in neighbouring West Bengal from Basukinath Temple here, when the driver lost control and the vehicle shot off into a paddy field, police said.
The victims, hailing from Nage, Churu and Wali districts of Rajasthan, were on a pilgrimage to various temples in the region during the auspicious Hindu month of 'Shravan'.
Ten of the injured were admitted to Dumka Sadar hospital and the condition of three was stated to be serious.
